Alex officially retired in 2012. He screened HCM positive in 2014 at 8 years old, despite previous negative scans, no murmur, and no symptoms. I can not stress enough the importance of catteries to continue screening! Sadly Alex passed away in 2019. He had no symptoms of heart disease and his death was unrelated to HCM.
